Rehashing the 2020 Pennsylvania Election (with Ben Forstate, Stephen Caruso, and Jamie Perrapato) Also! Jeff Bartos runs for Senate (s3e51)

Is it too early for a retrospective piece on the 2020 election? We think not! This week Jordi and Taylor pull out an episode that’s been again nicely in the wine cellar. Stephen Caruso, Ben Forstate, and Jamie Perrapato join as an expert panel to interpret the 2020 general election in PA and give some well-seasoned takes on the 2022 US Senate race in PA.  Stephen is a reporter on PA politics for Penn Capitol Star, Ben is a mapmaking extraordinaire on twitter and data nerd in chief, Jamie runs TurnPA Blue. First, they talk about their general characterizations of the 2020 election as a whole. Then, they move into a detailed description of what happened and opinions about why this result happened.  We talk about how these trends will effect what’s coming up next in 2021 and 2022 between municipal elections and redistricting. Lastly, we take a look at Jeff Bartos’ announcement video for Senate in 2022 and talk about 2022 US Senate race in PA.

Hey, just got a chance to listen to the pod. Late listen to an early 2020 election retrospective…
Just thought I would mention that the podcast series about conspiracies you may have been thinking about at the very end, Jordi, might be “No Compromise” put out by NPR, the one about confrontational politics.
